Acne In Menopausal Women

After the menopause, sebaceous gland function decreases but some women experience a sudden breakout of adult acne at this time. There are three possible reasons for this. As the skin becomes noticeably drier, many women succumb to the pressures of the cosmetic industry to purchase often expensive moisturisers and in some cases over-use of these oily creams causes 'acne cosmetica'.
