Surgical Menopause

Surgical menopause is normally induced due to an unusual event. It is induced when the ovaries are surgically removed. This condition can also be induced when the ovaries are seriously damaged by chemotherapy, radiation or by other medications. Often, it occurs with hysterectomy or removal of the uterus.
