Arimidex --- Stops metastasis in Post menopausal Breast Cancer

Arimidex is anastrozole and it functions as an aromatase inhibitor. Aromatase inhibitors are a class of drugs which are specifically used for the treatment of cancer of the breast and ovarian cancers in post menopausal women. Estrogen plays a pivotal role in the multiplication of cells in certain breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors block the synthesis of estrogen.
